Victoria (Vicky) Elizabeth Hauser, 60, passed away suddenly Monday, September 9, 2019. She was born on July 29, 1959, to Elizabeth Ann and the late Edward William Hauser in Glen Cove, New York. She remained in New York until 2009 when she relocated to North Carolina.  Vicky attended Nassau Community College. She worked as a physical therapy assistant at Hillcrest Convalescent Center in Durham, North Carolina.  Her thirty plus year career centered on geriatrics.  Vicky loved working with her patients and maintaining their dignity at all costs. Vicky married Mark Panos on August 1, 2015. She is survived by husband Mark, daughter Kathryn, son Michael and daughter-in-law Lauren, daughter Carolyn, step-son Joshua Panos and wife Jennifer (children Nikko and Lucy), and step-daughter Jessica and husband Dayson Paison.  Vicky is also survived by her mother Elizabeth (Betty), brother Edward (Buddy), sister Terry, sister Lori and sister Robin as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She had two God-sons Chris Licato and Brian Hauser, and two God-daughters Aubrey Strohla and Bridget DeSimone. Vicky was an avid gardener, entertainer, and enjoyed traveling.  Her smile was her hallmark and lit up the room.  Her light forever touched so many and will be sorely missed.   Services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, 2-4, 7-9 pm.Funeral Mass Thursday 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic R.C.Chapel . Internment will follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury on Thursday September 19, 2019. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Breastcancer.org in Vicky's name.
