Sylvia Harshbarger of East Norwich, NY - formerly of Bayville, NY and Miami, Fl. on January 4, 2026.
Loving mother of Suzanne Shoemaker (John), Roy A. Ellis, Shawn Lee (Doug) and the late Sharyl Derenthal. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan (Amy), Jason (Kelly), Sarah (Rob), Steven, Mathew, Meagan, Frederick (Chelsea), Kaitlyn (Nick), Justin, Samantha (Joe), Emily, Jackson and Walker and great grandmother of Riley, Lily, Sydney, Danielle, Colin, Jayce, Sophia, and Brooklyn.
Sylvia was raised in Miami, Florida and graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor of science degree in Education. She raised her children in Bayville, NY and was an avid fan of NASCAR.
Memorial service will be held Sunday January 11, 2026 from 12-3 p.m.
