Ruth Schoenemann passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 at the age of 99. surrounded by her loving family.

She was an extraordinary woman of great character, strength, and kindness. She survived the tragic loss of both her children Richard and Kathy without becoming bitter or withdrawn. She re-engaged with life, took joy and interest in children, young people, and animals, and never lost her empathy for people – whether they were friends, family, colleagues, or strangers.

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 8th 4:00 – 8:00pm at Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home,

Prayer service and eulogies where friends will have an opportunity to share their memories will at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth Schoenemann can be made to the ASPCA/American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
