Obituary

RoseAnne Robey - Passed peacefully on January 10th, 2026. Born on July 20, 1943, at Glen Cove Hospital, Roseann was the beloved daughter of Carmela and Foire Acquilino, little sister of Joe, and big sister of Lenny. She grew up surrounded by family and love, values that would guide her throughout her life.

A longtime resident of Oyster Bay, she lived among a close-knit community where she met her future husband, Kermit Robey. They were married in 1969 and began their life together, first in Huntington and later settling in Hicksville, where they put down deep roots and raised their family.

In Hicksville, she was an active and devoted member of the community and the Hicksville Public School District. She proudly served as a PTA member, teacher's aide, school bus driver, and taught computers during the infancy of the computer age — always eager to learn, serve, and support the children around her. Her dedication, kindness, and steady presence touched countless lives.

She loved God and, above all, cherished her family. She found joy in traveling and the Home Shopping Network. But most of all, she loved gathering loved ones together for cherished Sunday family dinners — moments filled with laughter, connection, and love.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Brian and Craig Robey; her brother and sister-in-law, Lenny and Joan Acquilino; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Robey; her grandchildren, Zachary Robey and Matthew Gordon; and her great-granddaughter, Kyelle Gordon. She is also survived by her loving extended family including in-laws, Ron, Becky, Jeff and AnnMarie Robey, nephews, Christopher and Andrew Acquilino, Steven, Scott, and Tommy Robey; nieces, Angela Hamrick, Tonilynn Acquilino, Susan Robey, Sarah Murphy; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Her legacy lives on through her family, her faith, and the many lives she touched with her warmth, devotion, and unwavering love.

Family will receive friends Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm.  A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

In Roseann's memory, flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to East Northport VNS/Hospice, whose compassionate care brought comfort through her final days.
