She was the daughter of the late Paul Gertrude Rothmann, former owners of Rothmann's Inn, East Norwich, N.Y. An accomplished pianist, Mrs. Curran graduated from St. Dominic's High School as salutatorian and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Julliard School of Music in Manhattan. A public school music teacher, Mrs. Curran did graduate work towards her Masters Degree at the Columbia University Teachers College. Mrs. Curran was married to former New York State senator Henry M. Curran, high school sweethearts they were married for over 50 years. During her husband's political career, Mrs. Curran entertained many political leaders including former vice president New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller. Mrs. Curran volunteered her time talent to many religious organizations including St. Dominic's Oyster Bay High School. Mrs. Curran was a member of the St.Dominic's Immaculate Heart Of Mary Guild, St Dominic's choir organist, the Glen Cove, N.Y. Hospital Auxiliary, the Holy Trinity (NJ) senior rosary club, and Westfield, N.J. Music Club. Predeceased by her beloved husband Henry M. Curran and her sister, Gloria O'Rourke. Mrs. Curran is survived by her daughter and son in law Lecia James DeHaven of Westfield, N.J. and her three sons, Henry of Gulfport, Fl, Paul and wife Linda of Winchester, TN, Peter and wife Beth of Nashua, NH. In addition to her children, her sister Paula Colton Woods of Stratford, CT along with six grandchildren several nieces and nephews survive Mrs. Curran. Funeral Information Family will receive friends Monday 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Inc. 293 South Street, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:30 a.m. St Dominic's R.C.
