Mrs. Thomas-Chasteen was born in Manhattan, NY She was a homemaker, past volunteer at Oak Hill Hospital and Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She loved to go walking in her neighborhood and on the beach at sunset, enjoyed dancing and went to dances twice a week at the Knights of Columbus and the Aripeka Elks Club. She loved to travel and she attended Air Force reunions with her first husband and Navy reunions with her current husband. She was a great cook and crocheted blankets for her entire loving family. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her first husband of 56 years, Anthony M. Thomas, her parents, Mary and Joseph Zarb, and her brother, Joseph Zarb. Survivors include her husband, Ernest F. Chasteen of Spring Hill; 4 daughters, Christine Nadobny of Seaford, NY; Anne Bencivenga of Peekskill, NY, Elizabeth A. Faucher of Spring Hill and Mary M. Gerard of Huntington, NY; 2 sons, Peter J. Thomas of Lindenhurst, NY and Michael A.
