Obituary

Marie F. Knight Knight- Marie F. of Oyster Bay on January 29, 2013. Survived by her daughter Lesliann Knight Jat (Parmjit Jat)., Grandson Isher Jat, sister-in-law Dolores Ferrera and her niece Laura Ferrera Weiner. Marie was designated as a Woman of Distinction in 2002 by the Town of Oyster Bay who recognized her for her many civic accomplishments. She was very instrumental in the early 1970's in assisting State Senator Ralph Marino and Robert DeGraff in the successful efforts to prevent construction of the Long Island Sound Bridge from Oyster Bay to Rye, New York. Marie was also involved in many local organizations. She was a founder and past President of the Oyster Bay Civic Association; a principal in the Annual St. Rocco's Festival sponsored by St. Dominic's R.C.Church. Funeral Information Visiting Sunday hours will be Sunday- 2-5 p.m. (no evening hours) Funeral Mass Monday 9:30 a.m. Chapel of ST. Dominic's R.C.C. Interment to Follow St. Patrick's R.C.Cemetery Brookville, New York
