Isabel E. Tagliabue Isabel E. Tagliabue 83, of Bayville, NY passed away peacefully on April 14, 2016 at the Harbor House in Oyster Bay, NY, gracefully surrendering to a long-term illness. Loving wife and partner of the late Frederick E. Tagliabue, Jr. , caring mother, beloved grandmother, and revered teacher and church-organist, she leaves behind both family and friends to remember her fondly. She is survived by her two children Frederick E. Tagliabue, III and Jean E. Roberts (Richard), Grandchildren Christopher and Amanda Roberts, her sisters-in-law Edith Ryan, Lillian Runnerstrom and Helen Martin, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many former students. She was a student herself of both SUNY Albany and Hofstra University before continuing as an educator to others as Head of the Business Department at the Oyster Bay High School. She was also a long-time member and adored organist and choir singer at the United Methodist Church in Bayville, NY. After a career dedicated to teaching, perhaps the most important lesson she can leave us with is that her death is not the end of her life, simply a part of it. Her memory and spirit will live on in the hallways where she taught, the homes and hearts of those who loved her, and on the shores of the Mill Neck Creek, where she spent most of her days.
