Mrs. Grace. R. Rappuhn
RAPPUHN- Grace M. of East Norwich (b. May 18, 1921 - d. May 25, 2016).
One of seven children, Grace Mary Breihof was born in the Bronx and graduated from Villa Maria Academy and studied Art at The Franklin School of Arts and Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. As a wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, godmother, favorite Aunt and friend, Grace was the embodiment of her namesake.
Pre-deceased in 2006 by her husband of sixty years, Henry "Bud" Rappuhn, Grace is survived by her children Susan Rappuhn Olsen, Steven and his wife Heather, sister Dolores and her husband Laurin Knutson of Maryland, sister in law Gloria Webel of Maine, nieces, nephews, and honorary granddaughter, Eve Achuthan Kozar of East Hampton.
In youth and as a young wife and mother, Grace's hobby was speed skating - she could often be seen on long blades hissing around the periphery of Beaver Dam Lake with head low, hand behind her back, free arm rhythmically swinging with the crossover of each athletic glide. Later on, the game of Bridge, gardening, entertaining friends, her abiding faith, her family and sailing with her husband gave Grace the most happiness.
Always smiling and eager to patiently assist, Grace was the receptionist in the Admissions Office of C.W. Post College in Brookville for over a decade in the 1970-80's.
