John DeBona John DeBona on January 18, 2017 of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Beloved husband of Sharon. Son of the late John and Josephine DeBona. Loving father of the late Jodi Lyn, Richard J., Dena Lynne, and John E. Dear brother of Joseph (Jeffrey), and the late Rosemarie (Francis X.), Dominick (Marita), Robert (Lynn), and Anthony (Margaret). He is treasured by his many nieces, nephews and friends. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving aboard the USS Northampton CLC1. He retired as a Lieutenant from the NYC Police Department after 27 years of service and was a member of the Coastal Carolina Shields. He was an avid golfer and was past president of the Grand Strand Senior Mens Golf Association. John also loved boating and enjoyed the companionship of his many boating and golfing friends. Funeral Information Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday January 22. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30 a.m. Chapel of St. Dominic's R.C.Church. Interment to follow Long Island National Cemetery.
