MaryAnn Lewis, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. She was recently residing in San Diego, CA and longtime resident of Oyster Bay, NY. Wife of the late Herbert Lewis. She is survived by her children, Herb and Michael, sister Ronnie and many nieces and nephews. Gram to her grandchildren Shylia and Deorah, and Great Gram to Lilliana, Laney and Vienna.

MaryAnn was born in Glen Cove on March 28, 1941, to Walter and Mary Rogus. She grew up in Oyster Bay on McCouns Lane with her two sisters Theresa and Ronnie and spent most of her adult life in Oyster Bay on Tooker Avenue. She was known for her toughness and determination to raise her two sons after the passing of her husband, Herb 47 years ago. She worked until she was 75 at the Woodbury Nursing home in Woodbury, NY.

While in San Diego living with her son and daughter in law Michael and Dawn, she was known affectionately as the neighborhood watch and was loved by the neighbors. Later, when she was in assisted living, she was affectionately known as MaryAnn the tough New Yorker in room 128. She will be missed by all.
