Mary R. Slisz (nee Whitney) was unexpectedly taken from us on December 29, 2020.  Devoted mother of Frank, Steve and Rose and doting grandmother of Nicholas, her family was her life.  While raising her family, she pursued higher education and earned a Master's Degree from Hofstra University, then excelled in the field of Medical Practice Administration.  She had an adventurous spirit, traveled the world and was willing to try anything once, participating in activities such as waterskiing, boating, scuba diving, Silver Sneakers and even skydiving.  There was nothing she enjoyed more than hosting parties and preparing delicious meals for her family and her many friends.  She was always the life of the party with her outgoing personality and sharp wit.  Her life was an uphill climb, but she was one tough lady who would never give up until she succeeded.  This amazing strong woman somehow managed to overcome a lifetime of challenges, yet remain ever-optimistic.
