Mary Jane Fox of Bayville, NY, passed away peacefully on January 30 at the age of 85. Mary Jane was born in Queens, NY and attended Vincent Ferrer High School in Manhattan. She married at the age of 21 and raised two children, James and Nancy. Mary Jane worked at Winthrop Hospital as a Medical Transcriber for 25 years. After her retirement she became a part-time real estate agent which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Mary Jane was a dreamer in the best sense of the word. She had a great sense of adventure, loving to follow winding roads, find interesting places, and soak up the beauty of life. She was a fantastic artist and writer of short stories. Mary Jane was a kind, funny, and gracious person who loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Nancy Avdic-Fox and James Fox.
