Marita DeBona, born on September 11, 1937, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was the eldest of six siblings. She came to the United States as a young woman and began a new chapter in her life. Her journey from Buenos Aires eventually led her to Dominic, whom she married in 1976. Through Dominic, Marita gained a large extended family in America, including brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, who became an important part of her life throughout the years. One of Marita’s proudest moments was becoming a United States citizen in June 1980, an accomplishment that remained deeply important to her throughout her life. Marita passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, surrounded by family. Her family, near and far, and those who knew her throughout her life will remember her. May she rest in peace.
