KATHLEEN GRACE WHITE

March 23, 1948 - December 8, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Kathleen Grace White, 77, of Greenport, NY, announces her sudden passing on December 8th, 2025.

Born on March 23, 1948, in Huntington, NY, Kathy spent much of her life in the Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington communities. She was widely known for her strong work ethic, quiet determination, and deep love for animals and gardening. Kathy devoted nearly the first two decades of her professional life to Grumman Aerospace Corporation, later continuing her career at Plum Island. Throughout her years, her passion and personality left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

Kathy is survived by her beloved niece, Michelle White, and nephew, Jason White (Gabriella), who cherished their aunt deeply and will carry her memory forward with love. She was predeceased by her mother, Peggy, her father, William Sr., and her brother, Bill. Beyond her human family, Kathy opened her heart and home to many furry companions over the years, and she leaves behind a lasting affection for the animals of her friends and family as well.

Though her time with us was too short, those that knew her take comfort in the many precious memories she left behind. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held in early summer 2026, when gardens everywhere will have re-bloomed and Kathy's life can be seen celebrated through the beauty that is a new season. Information about arrangements will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to North Fork Animal Welfare League in honor of Kathy's love for animals.
