James Blauvelt Fuccio, aged 60, of Oyster Bay, N.Y., died on Dec 19, 2020 in the ICU at Glen Cove Hospital due to complications from COVID-19. James was born in Glen Cove, N.Y. December 22, 1959 during a blizzard. He was a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay/East Norwich and never married. He graduated from Oyster Bay High School in 1978, SUNY Stony Brook 1983, and the Western New England University (aka Western New English College School of Law). He was a member of the bar association of both Massachusetts and New York. He cofounded the law firm of DeSocio and Fuccio PC and practiced law on Long Island over 35 years.
James lived in Oyster Bay and was active in the community. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Oyster Bay, which he served many roles as a member or officer. He served as treasurer of the Oyster Bay Rotary Student Loan Foundation, and president. He was a principle in starting the annual Oyster Bay Oyster Festival and served in many roles for over 25 years, most recently was the Festival Chairman or co-chairman for five years. James had a great sense of humor and told a mean joke. He loved music and performed as a vocalist with other Long Island amateur and professional musiciansMemorial Service Saturday June 12 11-1 p.m. at the Francis P.
