Arline Grace Anschutz Ridolf, 83, passed, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Hospice Inn in Melville, NY. She survived and valiantly fought stage 4 cancer for 6 1/2 years. Arline was the wife of the late Frederick Ridolf to whom she was married 51 years, until his passing in 2007. Brought up in Port Washington, she and Fred lived much of their life in East Norwich where they raised and educated their sons Rick of Massapequa and Curtis of East Norwich. After retirement the couple moved to Southampton and Palm Beach.Arline was an early working mother, a professional photographer and later went on to join Fred as co-owner of The Sterling Bowl in New Hyde Park.Always positive and active she took on many tasks with Fred in their community "Park Pointe" and up to 4 months ago was organizing the entertainment committee events.The couple enjoyed traveling and visited all 7 continents. Arline climbed The Great Wall of China.Arline was a proud member of the Townsend Family of Oyster Bay dating back to 1669. (through her Grandmother Etta Townsend Anschutz)Arline is also survived by her sister Patricia Mackay of Boynton Beach and many beloved nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held at Francis P, Devine Funeral Home in Oyster Bay on Tuesday October 16th, In Lieu of flowers, a donation to the ASPCA in her name would appreciated - she was a lifelong animal lover.
