Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Anthony Trapani, age 90, a resident of Naples, Florida, and New York City, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in New York City, Anthony lived a remarkable life defined by dedication to family, professional excellence, generosity, and service to others. Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carole Trapani; his parents, William and Anna Trapani; and his brother, William Trapani. He is survived by his devoted children, Gregory Trapani and Lisa Ruzzier; his cherished daughter-in-law, Helene Trapani; and son-in-law, Michael Ruzzier. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Lauren and Michelle, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Anthony is also survived by his loving siblings: Valerie O'Meara and her husband Russell, Richard and Noreen Trapani, Gary and Loretta Trapani, and Francis Trapani. He also leaves behind many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. A proud veteran, Anthony honorably served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, where he laid the foundation for a distinguished career in business and finance. Anthony began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant and went on to serve in numerous executive leadership positions. A visionary entrepreneur, Anthony was also a partner and owner of several successful finance and technology companies. While his professional accomplishments were significant, those who knew Anthony will remember him most for his generosity, philanthropy, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer thoughtful advice, and support causes that improved the lives of others. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Anthony's legacy is one of love, perseverance, compassion, and service. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him and in the countless lives he touched throughout his 90 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anthony Trapani's memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
