We invite family and friends to sign the guestbook

From:  Don MacKenzie

Will never forget the "Ray Romano" voice. Everytime he called my company anyone who answered said, "I think it's Ray Romano....serious!" I knew it was Hank. I loved the name of his company and his loyalty to his college and team and always, always, always...a perfect gentleman. Life is about relationships and contacts and during his long illness, we got to meet Lecia who always had her priorities right, family first. You will be missed my friend, and am sure you are in good hands.

Hank was a special guy!! Back in 1980, we would meet at the Syosset RR station and begin our trek into NYC. The 45 minute ride always went quickly because of his stories which had no boundaries! Now that I live in Texas I rekindle memories of his trips to the Cowboys games when they were actually a great team!! Gosh I hope Hank is going to help give them the edge against the Vikings!! It has been a long time since the Cowboys had a magical season.
The last time we saw Hank was probably in the mid 90's in Westfield with his Mom. Alexander was only 4 or 5 and we went along for a visit. Hank was busy at work with his business and his Mom could not wait to play the piano! Oh those were the days.
Although Hank was a little older than me I remember seeing his name on the walls of the OBHS gym for his track accomplishments. I wonder aloud if the records still stand today.
While we all knew that Hank was so sick, I never was able to say thank you for his service to our country!! It made me so happy this week to speak with Lecia and other family members that he would be buried with full military honors and that the Mass would include the Naval Hymn.
Hank you left us too soon but now you are finally comfortable again and regaling a few more stories with Mom and Dad! Rest well my friend.

To The Family, I want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a "resurrection" back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, "The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises.

Gone Where?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says, "She is gone."

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at that moment, when someone at my side says she is gone, there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout - There she comes!

That is what dying is. A horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up O Lord, that we may see further.
